2011 Fall Decor Obsession: The Pumpkin!
2011 Fall Decor Obsession: The Pumpkin!
First off let’s start with a pumpkin joke to get you in the mood for some pumpkin designs!
What is the ratio of a pumpkin’s circumference to its diameter? (See answer at the bottom)
The pumpkin is such a symbolic statement that crops up when all the leaves start to turn to yellows, oranges, reds and browns. The air become cool and you start to break out your scarves and boots for all the fall festivities that are about to start filling your weekend calendar. The smell of pumpkin pie brings back old memories of this time of year. Don’t forget the spill of pumpkin guts that erupts all on your driveway or kitchen floor. Always remember to throw Mr. Jack-O-Lantern away when he starts to change colors like the leaves do!
Our dear friends at Custom Rods & Draperies made these adorable pumpkins with fabric and trim! Let us know if you would like your own precious pumpkins!
Featured here are many different options that pumpkins have inspired us to make, bake, intake, create, filtrate, integrate, and decorate!

Rhonda’s grand babies enjoy pumpkins also!
Okay now for the answer to the joke! Here is a reminder since all these pumpkins most likely distracted you! (Especially the picture that made a perfect “end-ing” to 2011 Fall Decor Obsession: The Pumpkin blog!)

Thank you so much Shanan! You are so sweet and we love you!! 🙂
What better way to bring in the Fall season then with a nice family trip to the pumpkin patch? 🙂 My family goes every year, and we pick one PERFECT pumpkin. When we get home we find the best stencle and then carve it. Fall is the best season becasue there is so much to do outside in the cool air! And I think Fall has the best treats. Cider, Apples( cooked all ways), pumpkin…and all the warm yummy meals:)
I completely agree Lauretta! Fall is my favorite time of the year! I enjoy all the festivals and especially the yummy meals! 🙂
very interesting
Thank you! Pumpkins are so versatile and are perfect for decorations!
Thank you for your post, I was saddened this Halloween because I as not able to find a single pumpkin to carve this year! Usually my family goes to the pumpkin patch but this year we could not make it. So when I went to the store 2 days ago to get one to carve…they were all gone:( Better luck at thanksgiving!
Check the churches around you! Some of them may still have pumpkins!
