Christmas Lights & Merry Events 2011!

This holiday season is filled with bright, decorative lights and jolly ole’ events in the Dallas Fort Worth area!  From elaborate Christmas light displays, a ride on the North Pole Express, Santa visits, Holiday in the Park at Six Flags, and Christmas in the Square, the Christmas Season this year is definitely full of cheer!

Take a ride on the North Pole Express!

December, the North Pole Express steams down the tracks filled with pajama-clad youngsters. Along the way, the kids receive a special gift from Santa as he makes his way down the aisle during this memorable Christmas journey.

The Annual Tradition of Farmers Branch Christmas Driving Tour of Lights

Featuring 300,000 twinkling lights, the driving tour starts at I-35E at Valley View and follows the Candy Cane signs down William Dodson Parkway and around to the Farmers Branch Historical Park. Admission is free with donations accepted by the non-profit groups working the Historical Park portion of the tour.

Have some family fun at “Holiday in the Park” at Six Flags! 

It’s a winter blast with Frosty Snow Hill, Santa Land, delicious foods, fantastic holiday themed music and shows, and holiday shops and photos!

Holiday in the Park will be open from November 25 through January 2 with varied hours. A complete list of operating hours can be found here.

The largest choreographed holiday lights and music show in Texas returns!

Lights! Music! Snow! Holiday lights and music choreographed by Frisco’s own Jeff Trykoski (Illumimax LLC). With over 175,000 lights, 11.5 miles of wiring and 8 miles of extension cords.  Christmas in the Square is unlike anything you have ever seen. The same snow machines used by Disney create a “Winter  Wonderland” on the sidewalks of Frisco Square, Texas.
